The trail and park network is massive and explores
around lakes like Thetis Lake and Elk
Beaver Lake and along waterfronts like Dallas Road and in the
community of Sidney.
One can climb upto mountain tops like Mount Tolmie, over bogs and
wetlands and beside rivers like in Goldstream
Park. There are park trails connecting communities like the
Galloping
Goose Trail and trails exploring through lush gardens like in
Beacon
Hill Park. Some hiking and walking trails are within Provincial
Park boundaries while others are operated by the city.
The area has many scenic paved walkways with viewing benches. Many
are Ideal for day walks and used regurlarly by visitors looking
for pictures and memories. Some of which to explore on your visit
would be the Gorge Waterway, Dallas Road, Sidney Coastline and Beacon
Hill Park.
it is important to note that the park and trail system extends
past Victoria city centre and reaches far into the outlying communities.
