  • Botanical Beach Provincial Park. Tide Pools and a varied assortment of hiking trails. Access off Hwy 14 - 2 hour drive.

  • China Beach Provincial Park. Laying on beaches and in relax mode. 37 km from Sooke. 20 minute walk and then beach.

  • East Sooke Regional Park. 3512 acres of forest land. 50 km of trails passing by secluded coves, rainforests, & along beaches. Access by Beecher Road, Anderson Cove or Pike Rd.

  • French Bench Provincial Park. Sandy Beach located 21 km west of Sooke.

  • Galloping Goose Trail. Along Sooke Basin. Good for bikes, walks and horses. 55 km between Victoria and Leechtown. Access Gillespie Rd. or Sooke River Rd.

  • Jordon River. Mouth of river good for canoes, kayaks and windsurfing. 33 km from Sooke.

  • Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. 47 km challenging hike through rainforest and along the coast line. Many access points off Hwy 14 after Jordon.

  • Matheson Lake Regional Park. Canoe, swim and fish. Access from Matheson Lake Rd.

  • Mystic Beach. 45 minute hike in. Beach and waterfall. Access off Hwy 14 north.

  • Sombrio Beach. 10 minute walk onto beach. 57 km northwest on hwy 14.

  • Roche Cove Regional Park. 7 km trail, a creek and lush wooded areas. Access from Gillespie Rd.

  • Sandcut Beach. Waterfalls and beaches at end of 10 minute trail walk. 31 km out of town heading west.

  • Sooke Potholes Provincial Park. Access from Sooke River Road. Popular local swimming area.

  • West Coast Road. Scenic drive along rugged ocean coastline. Waves, marine life, beaches.

  • West Coast Trail. World Famous. Challenging 90 km hike through rainforests and along crashing ocean shorelines. Access south of Port Renfrew.

  • Whiffin Spit. 20 minute walk to the point to see the powerful and peaceful breakwater. Acess from Whiffen Spit Rd.

  • Witty's Lagoon. Waterfalls and beaches to run and play. Trails to explore. Take Sooke Rd to Metchosin Rd.
